South Valley Science and Engineering Initiative

“Thanks so much for taking such amazing photos at South Valley Science and Engineering Initiative’s EXPLORE STEAM Fair on Sunday, August 4, 2024. The pictures really capture the wonder on the children’s faces as they did hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and science activities at our event. Our team and booth partners have raved about the quality of your photos! I really appreciate your being able to be our event photographer, particularly since it was on shorter notice than we would have liked.

Thanks again, and hope you can join us again for 2025 EXPLORE on Saturday, March 1, at the Britton Middle School Student Union.”

Westmont of Morgan Hill

“Doug recently came to our assisted living community, Westmont of Morgan Hill, to take portraits of our residents at our “Gorgeous Grandma” event.
Doug showed up hours early to set up his portrait studio in our theater, and we were so impressed by his professionalism.
Once the residents started coming in to get their portraits taken, we were really blown away!  Doug was so kind and friendly with our residents, getting them comfortable and laughing so he could take the most beautiful portraits of them. Our residents really enjoyed their time spent bonding and chatting with Doug.
The portraits were stunning. Our residents and family members are so pleased with the results. We cannot thank Doug enough for his time, effort, and talent! Thank you Doug!!

Morgan Hill Historical Society, Spring Tea

“We were blown away when Doug asked to meet with our committee a week before our event so that he could preview the venue and take a few shots.  It got better when he offered to set up a portrait studio in one of our historic rooms.
On the day of the event Doug showed up 3 hours early to capture table settings, raffle prizes, volunteers brewing tea, filling sugar bowls and creamers, popping champagne bottles, etc.  Doug captured the big picture as well as the minute details that were planned and executed to ensure our guests had a memorable time.
As guests arrived, and took their seats, Doug took candid shots throughout the day of groups and individuals that captured the joy of the moment as they greeted one another, talked, and laughed.  A future bride said she wished she had met Doug before she chose her photographer and that was before she saw the quality of his pictures.  She added that he “just knows how to make people look their best from the other side of the lens,” and that’s before she saw the pictures.
Doug donated his time and photos to the Morgan Hill Historical Society at no charge.  We’ve shared his pictures with our guests so they can preserve the memory of this fabulous day.  Comments continue to come in about the quality of this unexpected gift.”

“Doug Rogers has shared his art as a volunteer photographer with the Morgan Hill Freedom Fest for the last three years. He is a team player who considers what shots we need for our program and does his best to ensure he provides those to us. He produces pictures that capture the excitement and joy of the 2-day events’ festivities. Doug’s ability to capture people’s personalities and moments in time is unique and it is a pleasure to work with him on the Morgan Hill Freedom Fest program.”

Morgan Hill Historical Society, Founders Dinner

“I had the pleasure of working with Doug Rogers when he provided photography services for the Morgan Hill Historical Society’s Annual Founders Dinner, a four-hour event with over 200 guests and a complex shot list. Indoor and outdoor shots, podium shots, group candids, award presentations. Doug not only captured all the shots we asked for, but the lighting and composition were always on target, and he captured everyone at their best. He also has a professional yet approachable way with people that puts them at ease when being photographed. I look forward to working with Doug in the future and will continue to refer him to others without hesitation.”

“Life Media Group’s team was thrilled to work with professional photographer Doug Rogers to capture images at the 2023 Holiday Lights Parade in downtown Morgan Hill. Doug has an incredible eye for composition and lighting, allowing him to take vivid, dynamic photos that truly captured the festive spirit and energy of the event.
When we saw Doug’s photographs, we were blown away. He perfectly composed the colorful lights and decorations, as well as the enthusiasm and joy on parade-goers’ faces. The images were bright, sharp, and full of holiday cheer – truly the essence of our small town during this beloved annual tradition.

Thank you, Doug, for photographing the dogs at the San Martin Animal Shelter. Giving your time is helping them find their forever home. A picture is worth 1000 words and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Fantastic photos and compositions. I especially enjoyed seeing the bird photography and sunlight on their wings in flight, with the light catching them just perfectly.

Also the people photos at events had many great candid photos captured in personal moments, I felt a connection to them and the emotion in the moment. Really showed and illustrated personalities, it seemed to me.

The osprey photos were fantastic! Such regal expressions in the moment, you showed them vulnerable yet independent somehow. Thanks for sharing these.
