We were blown away when Doug asked to meet with our committee a week before our event so that he could preview the venue and take a few shots.  It got better when he offered to set up a portrait studio in one of our historic rooms. 
On the day of the event Doug showed up 3 hours early to capture table settings, raffle prizes, volunteers brewing tea, filling sugar bowls and creamers, popping champagne bottles, etc.  Doug captured the big picture as well as the minute details that were planned and executed to ensure our guests had a memorable time. 
As guests arrived, and took their seats, Doug took candid shots throughout the day of groups and individuals that captured the joy of the moment as they greeted one another, talked, and laughed.  A future bride said she wished she had met Doug before she chose her photographer and that was before she saw the quality of his pictures.  She added that he “just knows how to make people look their best from the other side of the lens,” and that’s before she saw the pictures.
Doug donated his time and photos to the Morgan Hill Historical Society at no charge.  We’ve shared his pictures with our guests so they can preserve the memory of this fabulous day.  Comments continue to come in about the quality of this unexpected gift.
